Ingesting Chrysal flower food does not cause any health problems, but we do not recommend consuming it. Can flower food cause skin irritation?
Almost any product can cause skin irritation. Although Chrysal products are not classified as irritants, skin irritation may occur in case of repeated exposure to highly concentrated solutions. One of the most obvious recommendations to prevent skin irritation is to wear protective gloves, especially if you have sensitive skin. This will keep the hands dry, which is important because wet and/or injured hands are more prone to skin irritations.

Is flower food bad for the environment?
In more and more countries, cut flower food is subject to legislation, which also affects labelling. Certain ingredients, precautions and hazard symbols must be printed on the label if they exceed legally defined amounts. Only the “Keep out of the reach of children” precaution applies to Chrysal flower food. This type of labeling applies to all non-toxic non-food products. This means that it is allowed to pour them down the drain. The drainage system is usually connected to water treatment plants that would purify it.
General recommendations
Never dispose of residual water of any kind into surface waters, as this will disturb their natural balance.
How to remove pollen stains from clothes?
Lilies are very beautiful, but they have one drawback – the pollen that stains clothes. If you wish to prevent the danger of staining, simply remove the anthers (the tips of the stamens) when the buds begin to open. If you do get pollen on your clothes, here are some helpful tips on how to remove it.
- Do not rub with your hand! Human skin contains oils that will facilitate the attachment of pollen to the fibers.
- Allow the pollen to dry and remove with a soft brush.
- Place a piece of tape over the stain. Pollen will stick to it and can be easily removed
- Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from clothes
Are flowers in hospital harmful?
A bouquet of flowers is a beautiful gesture that cheers up patients in hospital wards. It also greatly improves the atmosphere in the hospital room. Studies show that patients feel better mentally when there are flowers around them, which in turn helps them recover faster physically. Giving a beautiful bouquet to a friend or relative while they are in hospital will lift their spirits, but there is one very important thing to consider – contaminated vases contain pathogens that affect open wounds on the human skin.
Therefore, it is possible to get a bacterial infection. That is why it is very important to clean the vases thoroughly before and after use. Keep the water in the vase clean (free of bacteria) and always dispose of the old water. Hospital staff are required to maintain impeccable hygiene. Wearing gloves is recommended when cleaning vases.
With Chrysal flower food you can significantly reduce the risk of infection. The nutrients and pH regulators contained in it effectively restore the balance of the flower and restore the resistance of the cells and the stem, thus guaranteeing a longer life in a vase. Accelerated aging caused by cutting is slowed. Therefore, water pollution is prevented and bacterial growth is limited.
An independent study was conducted by the Dutch research institute TNO to confirm these claims. His results concluded that flowers in water with Chrysal flower food were suitable for hospital wards, while flowers in tap water alone were not. In addition, the Chrysal flower food solution makes it easier for the hospital staff, as the vases only need to be topped up without the need for water changes.
